Our core program

Our signature six-week program addresses topics such as goal setting, peer pressure, bullying, cyber safety, healthy relationships, and the dangers of alcohol, nicotine, and other drugs.

Our curriculum reflects the most current information available, and all of our materials are developmentally appropriate and available for grades three through high school. Our Prevention Educators work with their classroom teachers to provide eight weekly lessons, which can be taught in a traditional classroom setting or virtually.

OUR STUDENTS

• Develop positive self-esteem

• Assume responsibility for their actions

• Respect the rights of others

• Work cooperatively with others

• Develop decision-making and

   problem-solving skills

• Resist negative peer pressure.

Our educators are trained and immerse themselves in Operation Aware culture. Here is a sample of one of our educators interacting with a class, it is a bit dated but the interaction and activites are part of each lesson.

This is a sample of our virtual lesson, thoughtfully designed and presented by our dedicated instructors. They created, scripted, and filmed the lessons to ensure the virtual experience feels as personal and engaging as our in-person sessions. This approach allows students to connect meaningfully with their instructors and enjoy a seamless learning experience, even from a distance.

Each 6-week session facilitated by Operation Aware within Tulsa County costs over $800. Schools contribute $300 per classroom (up to 35 students), with the remainder funded through grants, donations, and community support to keep the program affordable.

For schools outside Tulsa County, there is a slightly higher rate to accommodate travel, and a minimum of five presentations per week is required for locations more than 40 miles away. Please also note that high school classes are facilitated only in schools that include one or more of the younger grades.

Results Reported

We provide schools with a detailed report that includes insights from our pre- and post-program surveys and teacher surveys' feedback. Each report features quotes from teachers and students, showcasing knowledge gained, challenges faced, and successes achieved throughout the program. These valuable insights help schools understand the full impact of our sessions on student growth and engagement.

Meet ingdistrict goals

Operation Aware's six-week program is designed to align with state school mandates by delivering essential lessons on mental health, substance abuse prevention, and social-emotional learning. Through interactive sessions, we equip students with tools to make informed decisions, build resilience, and navigate peer pressure—meeting curriculum requirements for health education and substance abuse prevention. Our program's structure ensures that schools can address these mandates effectively within a short timeframe, providing impactful education that supports students' overall well-being.
