The Operation Aware Golf Tournament, held each August, is a day for golfers to enjoy a beautiful day of golfing while supporting our work to equip local youth with the tools to make positive life choices. The proceeds provide scholarships for school participation in our signature eight-week education program and allow us to expand our reach to more schools in Northeast Oklahoma.

Recent assessments find that more than 40% of the youth who need mental health services and 80% of youth who need substance abuse services are not receiving them. Also, more than half of school-age children experience bullying at some point during their school careers (OK Mental Health & Substance Abuse). Without early and effective identification and interventions, childhood disorders can persist and lead to school failure, poor employment opportunities, poverty, and incarceration in adulthood. State of Oklahoma Mental Health surveys underscore the urgency of our mission, revealing that 40% of fourth and seventh-grade students have encountered peer pressure associated with substance use. All of these alarming statistics emphasize the need to address these issues proactively. Recognizing that many schools seek additional resources and expertise to implement effective prevention strategies, our program fills this gap
